Ourselves or Them?
Does anybody, besides myself, realize that we have programs to feed other people around the world, yet we can not feed ourselves? Also, if we are one of the riches country in the world, why are homeless people sleep outside the White House? Why have not any of the presidents of the United States help these people? I guess it is right to help the homeless that live in poor countries, it is America's duties to help it's fellow man. I want your opinion on this subject, what is your position?

he does have a point. what ignorance? the ignorance that we as americans loveto help out the rest of the world, but we cant even help ourselves? why is it that in neds class room we have both a box for school dance money, and a pennies for polio jug, but no help the homeless, or healthcare for the poor jar? is it because we think that they are just lazy, and everyone else in the world is more deserving? or is it that you assume that all homeless people and low income familys are trailer trash alcoholics? the only ignorance i see here is the ignorance of you leslie. just my 2 cents lol.
Why should they get anything for free? Im sure ill get alot of criticism but they got two arms and two legs they are well enough to walk off their little corner and go job searching. Yes, it would be difficult cause who wants to hire a bum? But somewhere out there int he land of oppurtunity there is someone who would hire them. So give your dog to a family who can take care of a dog because it makes no sense to have something you gotta take care of when you cant even take care of yourself and adventure into the world. MEOW!
I'm sorry I wasn't clear enough in my first post on this; I was referring to Brandon's post. On the other hand, most of the posts I delete are useless.
well brandon, by me giving that "bum" a dollar or whatever, i am doing what i feel is the right thing. sure he might go spend it on booze, ormaybe he will buy some food, who knows. but i at least know i did my part. and as for them not getting a handout, what about all the elderly people that taxpayers spend millions of dollars to keep alive? why would we give them care over a homeless person? and those so called "bums" are people too. you could be in the exact same position in two seconds. your parents lose their jobs, cant pay the mortgage and get foreclosed. then you lose your phones and yur adress. then where do you go? what if you didnt have anyone to stay with? then you would be homeless wih no address and no phone umber so no one is going to hire you. and you say that there are people out there that hir, but with the way the economy is with people losing jobs already whos going to hire your parents? no one. so then you would be that "bum" asking for a dollar so that you dont go hungry. and then some kd just like you says, well they had their chance so im going to go give my money to those cute pandas who need saving, or those people in that one country. we have those people in THIS country. just my 2 cents

theres a saying, dont tell someone else how to run their country, untell your house is in order first.
we should start here at home first, then Worry about about the rest of the world.
i was always told not to give money to homeless people so i like to go to walmart, subway, or Mc Ducks and get them a gift card so thats the only place they can spend it. now for something completely random!!!!!! BOB THE BUILDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
