Should we take the 'Leadership' part out of our school name, Rivercity Leadership Academy? The whole thing seems like a misnomer to me--By the way, if you don't know it, look up misnomer. It'll make you happy.-- seeing as there is little excellence and no leadership at Rivercity.
Our name portrays us as these hard-working students who probably eat healthy meals and work out on a daily basis. As anybody attending the school knows, we are absolutely none of these things.
Maybe we should be 'Rivercity Skool for Lazy Bums,' misspelling intended.

There's a vast middle ground between a "leadership academy" and a "skool for lazy bums." Perhaps we could occupy some kind of middle ground? "Rivercity Academy" sounds good to me.
It's the 'academy' that suggests excellence. Maybe Rivercity High, if we're not willing to lower ourselves to 'Skool for Lazy Bums.'

i think that we shouldnt have to change our name, but we shoul step up our work instead of being lazy. wow what an idea that is.
Rivercity LEADERSHIP academy has been shit after Eric quit...maybe if the advisors actually taught leadership and kept the original values of the school people wouldn't think that we are all just lazy ramen eating bums! I’m not saying that RLA was perfect…but we were family…and now it’s just a school…. kind of. Were did the student involvement go, and the respect? Why even have a student government? The advisors don’t let them do anything. Remember Wednesday “HUG DAY” were we would hug everyone even if they smelled uber bad? Were did that go? What happened to the times when we supported each other and cared… maybe it’s that we feel the advisors don’t support us or care. Only coming to work to collect their paycheck and pull out what hair they have left. All around we need to change students as well as advisors, maybe some day we will be Rivercity Leadership Acamemy.
Eric didn't teach "leadership" exactly. It was more like forcing the bastard child of NOLS upon about 3 favorites and calling them the "leaders" of the school. RiverCity Minimum Security Institute of Ramen Consumption.

I think instead of changing our schools name we need to step up to the plate and make the name true.
Ive seen and contributed to my fair amount of laziness myself but I really think we need to step our game up,
If we do the District would probably do more for us as a school.
Due to all of the things being stolen or "missing" and people being lazy coming up with dumb topics... ya... take out the 'leadership' and put in "theiving slobs." RTSA Rivercity Theiving Slobs Academy "We can, and we will, rob you blind, while eating romen."
