Yeah, that's right. It's our first debate topic of the second semester!
So, what do you think, should the military officially end the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell Policy?"
Read up ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ISSUE. We do not want this to turn into a blatant display of homophobia, so do your research. Be objective!
Oh yeah, you need to post your opinion on the blog.

i personally think that the gays should be allowed in, but i do agree with dont ask dont tell. its nobodys business what you prefer sexually, pluss it is for the gay soldiers own good. there is alot of homophobia, plus if someone disagrees with gays they could decide not to help o]the gay man in a dire situation. lets say a guy has a thing for leather whips. that doesnt mean he has to go around spewing his love for leather. its not as big of a deal as homosexuality just because it has become a massive issue in this country. just my 2 cents
I think gays should be allowed in the military, but we should keep the "don't ask don't tell" policy for their own safety, because gays are not taken kindly in the military I'm sure and if their open about it some marine buffs might mess him/her up.
